Lorian Network Equipment

	The Lorian network runs it's own services, including web servers, primary and backup mail servers, list servers, database servers, DNS servers and routing.
	All of our network services run on Power Macintosh computers from Apple Computer, Inc. Web serving is handled by WebStar, a combination that provides one of the most secure web hosting platforms.
	All units are electrically protected by American Power Conversion battery backup and power filtering units. Web and mail server data are backed up daily to external tape.
	Our connection to the internet backbone is through a full-time, high-speed business class dedicated DSL line using a block of fixed IP numbers.
	NOTE: Our facilities and equipment are designed for those looking for individual or business-presence web sites, with or without database back-ends. At the current time we cannot provide guarenteed 24/7 service to those with mission-critical requirements. Our facilities do not yet provide the redundancy and power-generation capability that mission-critical sites require for guaranteed service. We will be adding those capabilites in the future.
	However, we are pleased that no outages have occured because of incidents at our facility, and over the last two year period, we have experienced only 1 day of down-time, that due to equipment upgrades by our connection provider.
